When you tap a button on your app, it sends a signal to a heavy-duty relay, the circuit closes, and you’re instantly toasted. Plus, if you’re into automation, you can pair them with a few temperature sensors. The heaters can just kick in on their own the second the room dips below a certain temperature.
A few things to watch out for
Here’s the deal: don’t just plug these into a cheap smart plug you bought at the grocery store. These heaters pull a lot of juice. Check your circuit breaker and make sure your wiring is up to the task so you don’t end up tripping the mains in the middle of a cozy night. If you’re wiring a few of these into one hub, I’d suggest a dedicated line. It stops the power from dipping, which means your lamps won’t flicker. Simple as that.
